AMANDA ENWRIGHT
Amanda is proud to offer over 20 years of equestrian experience in hunters, jumpers, english, and western pleasure. She has degrees in Special Education and Elementary Education from Kutztown University and is also a certified trainer with the American Riding Instructors Association. She currently coaches the Gwynedd-Mercy College Equestrian Team and is the show manager for the Worcester Stables Jumper Shows.
Amanda focuses on teaching her students all the various aspects of horsemanship. In lessons, students will assist in grooming, tacking up, learning basic horse care, as well as riding time. While riding, the students will participate in various fun activities and games that will enhance their balance and connection with their horse. Amanda welcomes all ages of students, from beginners through advanced.
Besides giving riding lessons, her services include training problem horses, starting young horses, and working with foals. Amanda can also be found every weekend showing a variety of horses or standing by the gate coaching her students in the show ring. Her students show in schooling shows all the way to rated venues as well. Although some of her students compete in horse shows, her goal is not to make everyone into “show riders”. The true goal is to become very well rounded and knowledgeable equestrians.
She brings her experience from showing on the A-rated circuit, as well as riding on her college team on the intercollegiate (IHSA) circuit. Some of her noteworthy accomplishments include year-end championships in Amateur Owner, Young Hunters, Pre-Green, and Adult Equitation. Some of the shows Amanda can be found competing at are The Devon Horse Show, Blue Rock, St. Christopher’s, HITS at Saugerties, HITS at Culpepper, and a variety of shows on the rated circuit. She also competed in the Breed Divisions In-Hand at Dressage at Devon, capturing a first place and Champion of Breed for the past 4 years.
Students focused on the show arena, as well as those who simply love riding and understanding horses, are very welcome. Amanda wants to share her love and passion for horses to anyone who is willing to learn.
